We made it to St. George — and the adventure is officially underway!

Before the pedals even started turning, I was already feeling incredibly grateful. Huge thanks to Nancy and Steve Basinger for stepping up to provide vehicle support for the ride. Knowing we have such amazing people helping behind the scenes makes this journey even more meaningful. While the official bike ride hasn’t technically begun yet, the energy around the first Mighty Five Climate Ride event in St. George was inspiring from the start.

We kicked things off with an engaging discussion:

“The Economics of Clean Energy”

The panel featured an incredible lineup of voices and perspectives, including:

  • Rod Perry, author of 'Inflection Point'.

  • Bryan Dial, Manager of St George Energy Services

  • David DeMille, Editor at USA Today for AI-assisted news

The conversations were thoughtful, optimistic, and centered around the future of clean energy and climate solutions. It was the perfect way to launch what certainly will be an unforgettable ride through some of Utah’s most spectacular landscapes.

This morning, after the informal gathering at West Village Cafe, the next stop is Springdale for a group ride up the breathtaking Zion Canyon, followed by an evening talk at Zion Canyon Brew Pub.

This is only the beginning, and already the excitement, community, and purpose behind the Mighty Five Climate Ride are shining through.

Looking forward to the road ahead!
