It all started on the Utah/Idaho state line, right along the shimmering shores of Bear Lake, back in September 2012. I didn’t know it then, but that first Climate Ride would spark something that would carry me thousands of miles and shape the years ahead in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Ride for Climate. US Senate 2012. Where it all began!

Now, 14 years and over 5000 miles later, I’m gearing up for my sixth Climate Ride in Utah—this time representing Citizens' Climate Lobby on the Mighty Five Climate Ride—and the energy feels just as electric as day one.

There’s something powerful about returning to the road with purpose. Each ride has been more than just miles on a bike; it’s been a journey of connection—to the landscapes, to the people, and to the mission. I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has helped organize these events over the years. These rides don’t happen on passion alone—they’re built by some very special to me who care and who show up.

This ride feels especially meaningful. The Mighty Five’s iconic landscapes will be the backdrop as I reconnect not only with nature, but with myself. There’s clarity that comes from long stretches of open road, from the rhythm of pedaling, and from standing firmly for what you believe in.

And that’s what this is about: showing up, inviting conversations, speaking for the importance of advocacy that bridges divides while raising funds for Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

So here we go—another chapter begins. Follow along for updates from the road as the Mighty Five Climate Ride unfolds. The adventure is just getting started!
